Last year, following the loss of my sister, I decided to create some small memory pillows for my nieces, using her favourite photo and some of her own fabrics. I have been sewing small personalised gifts for family and friends for a number of years, but people’s reactions to these pillows made me realise that there may be an opportunity for me to create something both unique and meaningful for other people too. So I have begun to sew these bespoke pillows for individuals, who either give them as gifts on special occasions or who keep them as a lasting memory of a loved one (including pets).
If you have a fabric that is particularly meaningful to you, I am also happy to incorporate it within the cushion design and have various options available.
I also create other personalised, low cost, simple gifts, some of which can include an embroidered name and/or an embroidered design. These include hand warmers, wheat bags, small lavender pillows and fabric journal covers. I am always happy to take requests for other items, such as small quilts or bags and will usually have some available at craft fairs.
